Lord, I ask for courage; Courage to face and conquer my own fears... Courage to take me where others will not go. I ask for strength; Strength of body to protect others... Strength of spirit to lead others. I ask dedication; Dedication to my job to do it well... Dedication to my community to keep it safe. Give me, Lord, concern; For all those who trust me... And compassion for those who need me And, please, Lord, through it all; be at my side

M - Fireman’s Prayer
When I am called to duty, God, Where’re the flames may rage, Give me strength to save some life whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late, or save some older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert, and hear the weakest shout and quickly and effectively to put the fire out. I want to fill my calling
And give the best in me. To guard my every neighbor and protect his property; And if according to Your will, I have to lose my life, please bless with Your protecting hand my children and my wife. 
Amen.

Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung my eager craft, through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue. I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace where never lark, nor even eagle flew - and with silent lifting mind I've trod, the high unsurpassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God.
